Finishing Cutting Three-Dimensional Measurement and Control System
Overview
The system is suitable for measurement of finishing section in medium plate production line. The laser projection technology and the CCD Photogrammetry are applied to complete width, length, and flatness measurement of steel plate. The application of high-precision laser displacement measurement and ranging technology is able to complete measurement of thickness and shape of steel plate, and eventually guide or participate in the control of precious cutting of finishing steel plate.
Scope
The system is applied to measurement and control of double-ruler length break cut of steel plate, the width measurement/shearing/control of finished steel plate, length measurement/guiding cut/control of finished steel plate, length/width/thickness/shape/3D measurement of finished plate.

Features
Three subsystems operate independently, precisely synchronous guidance for cutting, accelerate the finishing line in circulation, substantially increase the metal recovery rate and the finished product rate:
1.Real-Time Control: 22 times per second of position detection and data measurement, and which the whole process is in real time.
2. Precise Measurement: using a two-dimensional area array CCD camera to ensure accuracy.
3. Intelligent Operation: automatic completion of the whole process of measuring in the absence of operator.
4. The Full Range Display of Data: the data includes two parts, the geometry data of the plate and the operational status of the system.
Economic Benefit Analysis
The precision of steel cutting directly affects the quality, price and services of the product as well as cooperate competitiveness. However, in the production process, large errors are often resulted from manual operation, simple process and inability to accurately set feed size. Moreover, due to the size is inaccurate, claims and returns are happened frequently. Accurate shear of plate size in production process which to control and improve the standards has been an issue of great concern. Based on the practical application, there is around 1 percent increase of metal yield by using this system. And taking a production line with a capability of 1 million tons per year, and the waste steel is $350 per ton, the economic benefit will be 3.5 million US dollar per year.
