Hot Rod Surface Quality Inspection System

Theory

The system is applied to bar surface inspection at temperature 700-1200℃. Based on the actual situation of production site and in the light of original production equipment, using the machine vision technology to form a annular measurement field through multiple CCD cameras around the production line. By using auxiliary lighting, real-time optical images of the bar are received and sequentially converted to electronic and digital images, and grey images are obtained through computer system processing.

Specifications

1.Providing real-time online non-contact surface defect detection for full length and full-surface range of steel bars.

2.The diameter of the bar is unlimited, the camera and lighting position are automatically controlled and adjusted according to the relative position of the bar.

3.The movement speed of the bar is less than 160m/s.

4.The minimum detectable defect size is 0.1mm×0.1mm.

5.Defect detection rate≥98%, defect classification recognition rate≥85%.

6.Automatic alarm for period defects and sudden defects.

Functions

1.Online display of defect size, location, type, and defect image.

2.The specified defect alarm, the alarm condition can be preset.

3.The defects information (size, location, type, image) is saved in the database.

4.The historical data can be extracted from the database and be analyzed.

5.The surface quality inspection report can be generated as well as printed and saved.
